Are you familiar with databases and PHP or SQL?
I am interested in building a site similar to facebook or myspace but I do not know how to make database or an interface with PHP or SQL. I need someone who can make me join this project. It would be nice if this person lives near Hartford, Connecticut. more if you can point me in the right direction for learing these tools, I would be grateful.
Learn what is "under the hood" is always a good thing … but in most cases, re-invent the wheel is not really necessary. The best option … take a look at Drupal, and studying the code source. It is fully PHP / MySQL (and works better under Apache). For learning PHP and MySQL, a good place to start would be to deepen the excellent articles on WebMonkey.
