This memory is not the typical trip. Eat, Pray, Love is a franchise of sharing the same experiences of a woman in the treatment of trauma and turmoil in your life. Elizabeth Gilbert share with the reader not only his years of physical trips to Italy, India and Indonesia, but also his spiritual journey to meet after of his bitter divorce and subsequent battle with depression.

Gilbert spent time in Italy is immersed in a language and loves to cook. And yes, I say, in fact, are immersed in the Italian cuisine. Eating in Italy is a major event and present the reader with descriptions of the food consumed was absolutely delicious.

Gilbert takes the reader on his personal journey of self-awareness and enlightenment during his stay in the Indian ashram of his guru.

The final destination of your trip for throughout the year that has been in Bali, Indonesia for a meeting with a man without age, apparently unexpected medicine. Gilbert explains the ins and outs, respectively, very social Balinese culture, explores this subculture expatriate in the resort and the struggles of the people of Bali after the Bali bombings.

Although I am pleased to hear this story of the author's experiences sincere, sometimes ventured too self-indulgent for my personal taste. I'm not very lucky to have personally suffered from depression and so I am impressed by the courage of the author to tell some very personal thing, there was a point where I found the insight in this regard worked. I also found the concept of a guru difficult to identify. However, should provide the context that I am not a religious person, and although I admire and try to mimic some of those qualities more respect than I've ever been a man seeking explicit direction of others. I did not, however, does not take into account other benefits can be drawn from these Gilbert applaud experiences and share his personal journey I'm sure many will benefit you.

The culmination of this memory for me was the last time Indonesia Gilbert. Their interactions with the medicine man had was simply lovely and inspiring, always with a smile on my face. The eclectic mix of people, they came into contact with during their stay in Bali has provided opportunities for self-discovery and self-empowerment that I totally identified with.

Despite of some of my doubts about Eat, Pray, Love, his best seller best situation is undoubtedly justified. It's exciting and compelling – a very personal person travels shared with the hope that others can find meaning and comfort in it.

Other titles include Elizabeth Gilbert "committed" "The Stern Men, "" Pilgrims "and" The Last American Man.
