facebook app for windows mobile 6.5

The remarkably affordable social mobile phone, the INQ1, gets an updating facelift with the launch of two handsets from the Hutchison Whampoa company, INQ Mobile. First off is the QWERTY-equipped INQ Chat 3G that looks like a Blackberry Curve but without the hefty price tag. The other is the modest and conventional entry-level INQ Mini 3G that’s almost a steal for a sub-?100 mobile phone.
Both phones take the level of affordability to a higher plane without compromising on the basics that have made the INQ1 a popular and highly regarded pioneering mobile phone for the social networking crowd. But the INQ Mini 3G takes the cake for getting the basics of a social Facebooking phone right with the most wallet-friendly price. Built to address a market pining for a quick and easy messaging phone, the Mini 3G also has what it takes to give you imaging and multimedia features that won’t disappoint even if they take the back seat.
Just the Right Features for Social Networking
INQ could have really gone cheap on a social networking phone by not putting any camera or multimedia feature on it and stuck with a purely messaging internet feature. But giving a nod to the popular features we’ve taken for grant, the INQ Mini 3G doesn’t disappoint in them either. Just don’t expect cutting edge marvels reserved for flagship mobile phones.
- Looking like any conventional mobile phone on a monoblock candybar form factor, the INQ Mini 3G’s slim design at 103 x 46 x 13mm makes it very pocket friendly.
- It sports a modest 2.2” screen with 256k colors. When you’re online, you really won’t need all that many colors on a smallish screen.
- Another modest imaging feature is its 2.0 megapixel camera. But it does the job for snapping photos for uploading to your social networking sites. Anything higher would be overkill.
- There’s the more basic 3G support with HSDPA that really matters most for fast surfing, downloading and messaging over the mobile internet.
- There’s the tight integration with Facebook, Twitter, Skype and Windows Live. Social networking while on the road can’t get any better than that.
Prudent Features Cuts
All that for a sub £100 mobile phone? There must be a catch. Yes. There are a few cost-cuts to give you a most wallet-friendly price tag. But a prudent and wise cost cuts.
- Forget about ample onboard memory storage. It’s quite modest at a mere 100 MB but you only get less than that for apps and files. But not to worry, a microSD slot is there for up to 16 Gb of external memory.
- There’s no GPS. You won’t need one when chatting on the net.
- You will need to convert Windows Media files to play on its media player.
If you need a great multimedia and imaging mobile phone, you may have to look elsewhere. The INQ Mini 3G is a social networking phone with the right features to do the job fast and keep you entertained. That’s where it shines. There rest are perfunctory nods to the trendy versatile phone that has everything. It’s no jack-of-all-trade phone. At a sub ?100 price, there’s no better value out there.
